Being an officer in the Air Force’s surface-to-air missile (SAM) forces means defending the peaceful skies of your homeland and ensuring the safety of its citizens.
The department trains specialists for the SAM forces who are capable of effectively operating medium-range SAM systems currently in service: S-300PS(PT), S-300V1, and PATRIOT. Graduates acquire deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for the combat deployment and technical operation of weapons and military equipment in combat conditions.
Training in the department is conducted by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff and engineering and technical personnel. They possess combat experience in deploying SAM force units, have received training on the technical operation and combat deployment of SAM systems at partner countries’ training centers, and have experience organizing and conducting military specialist training according to NATO standards.
