Military College for Sergeants 

Military College for Sergeants of the Kharkiv National University of Air Forces – an institution of higher military education that trains military specialists of sergeant (senior sergeant) rank for contract military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

📌 General information

  • Date of establishment: 30 July 2010.
  • Basis: Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 467 of 13 May 2009, joint order of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 476/877 of 21 September 2009.
  • Form of study: full-time (study programme – ‘cadet’).
  • Duration of study: 2 years.
    Funding: from the state budget (state order).

К6 Provisioning of troops (forces):

  • Complexes and automation tools for automated aviation and air defence management systems.

К7 Weapons and military equipment:

  • Maintenance of military aircraft, helicopters and aircraft engines;
    Aviation weapons.
  • Operation of aviation equipment for military aircraft and helicopters.
  • Operation of radio-electronic equipment for aircraft, helicopters and aviation missiles.
  • Unmanned aerial systems of operational-tactical, operational and strategic classes.
  • Operation of ground-based radio-electronic and information support for aviation flights.
  • Operation of anti-aircraft missile systems and medium-range systems.
  • Operation of radio-electronic means of information support and control of anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes.
  • Operation of radio-technical systems and devices of radar equipment.
  • Operation of anti-aircraft weapon systems and complexes of the Ground Forces.

Admission requirements

Ukrainian citizens who have the following are accepted:

  • complete secondary education;
  • diploma of a ‘skilled worker’;
  • diploma of a junior specialist or professional junior bachelor;
  • degree of junior bachelor, bachelor or master.

🎖️ After completing the training

Graduates receive:

  • Military rank: junior sergeant;
  • Diploma: professional junior bachelor’s degree;
  • Appointment: to primary sergeant (senior) positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with the acquired military specialty;
  • Opportunity to continue education: admission to the 2nd–3rd year of higher military educational institutions to obtain the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education.
