The Faculty of Professional Military and Postgraduate Education (hereinafter referred to as the Faculty) is one of the main structural divisions of the University, which carries out educational, scientific and scientific-technical, methodological, innovative, organizational and other activities aimed at high-quality training of cadets, students, adjuncts (hereinafter referred to as higher education applicants) in accordance with the state order for the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and other components of the Defence forces of Ukraine.

     The implementation of all types of activities and events in total ensures high-quality training of higher education applicants.

     The Faculty acts in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine, regulatory legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Department of Military Education and Science of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of education and science, the Charter of the University, orders of the Head of the University, decisions of the Academic Council of the University, the Regulation on the Organization of the Educational Process at the University and other Regulations of the University which determine the organization and provision of the educational process, scientific and scientific-technical and innovative activities.

     The main tasks of the faculty are:

     increasing the human resources potential (research and teaching staff as well as scientific workers), including material and technical, scientific and methodological resources for the effective implementation of educational, scientific and other tasks aimed at implementing the content of higher education at the degrees of higher education: Bachelor, Master, Doctor of Philosophy;

     organization and coordination of educational activities that ensure that individuals obtain the appropriate degree of higher education in their chosen specialties (specializations), educational and professional programs;

     ensuring the quality of the educational process in accordance with the standards of higher education, professional standards of a military specialist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the relevant military-accounting specialty and specialization, as well as regulatory and legal documents on the organization of the educational process;

    combining educational, scientific and scientific-technical, methodological, innovative, organizational activities and other types of activities in the educational process;

     creating conditions for improving knowledge, skills, abilities and professional growth of permanent and temporary staff of the faculty;

     improving scientific and methodological, educational and methodological, material and technical and information support of the educational process;

    constantly monitoring the quality of educational services, graduates’ activities and, if necessary, making appropriate changes to the educational process;

     carrying out all types of scientific (scientific and technical) work;

     conducting fundamental, exploratory and applied scientific research on military issues of military, technical, social and natural sciences;

   studying and implementing in the educational process the requirements of guiding documents, materials of advanced pedagogical experience, experience of combat training of troops (forces) conducting combat operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and Defence forces of Ukraine;

     organizing and conducting scientific activities of higher education applicants;

     organizing and conducting events for psychological and moral support, social support of participants in the educational process;

organization of measures for the socio-psychological and professional adaptation of participants in the educational process;

     organization and conduct of sports and mass work events;

     organization and conduct of career guidance work;

     establishment of close international ties;

    control over compliance with academic integrity by participants in the educational process within the framework of fulfilling the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, the University Сharter and relevant Regulations, the functioning of an effective system for preventing and detecting academic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, copying, deception, bribery, and biased evaluation of higher education applicants, in scientific works, scientific and pedagogical, scientific, and other employees, which is based on the principles of scientificity, mutual trust, respect, and responsibility.

     The structure of the faculty is determined by the staff of the University in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

       The faculty is directly managed by the head of the faculty.

        The academic council of the faculty is a collegial management body of the faculty.

       The body of public self-government of the faculty is the general meeting of the faculty staff.

       The faculty includes:

       Department of Metrology and Standardization;

       Department of Electrical Systems of Weapons Complexes and Military Equipment;

       Department of Aviation English;

       Research Laboratory.
